Clothes. I love em. And in this day and age, they are everywhere. We've never had access to more goods and services. With the availability of shipping and online stores, we don’t even have to leave the comfort of our own homes to buy a new wardrobe.
There are a few stores I've heard about that I wanted to look into a little further. One of them in Everlane. Perhaps you’ve heard some of the fashion bloggers on Instagram praising their Women’s Curvy Authentic Stretch High-Rise Curvy Jeans. And while I have yet to try, the reviews lead me to believe they truly are something special.
Everlane prides themselves on their transparency which is why their tagline makes perfect sense - Modern Basics, Radical Transparency.
When I took a closer look at Everlane, I was excited to learn about their “ethical approach.” Did you know each one of their factories is listed on their website? You can even see the specific factories where each product is made. Their hashtag #KnowYourFactories shows their commitment to fair-trade clothing.
Everlane does things a little different, such as sharing the actual cost each item takes to make. From the raw materials to the transportation of the item, the costs are broken down in each part of the process. When was the last time you saw the details of what goes into making your favorite t-shirt and a pair of jeans?
Choose What You Pay
Now this is seriously cool, sometimes, companies make too much of a product. So for whatever reason, they wind up with an excess and it's up to every individual company as to how they handle the excess. Everlane has a pretty awesome approach (that I’ve never heard of before) and puts all the items in one section that is deeply discounted. Think like 40-50% off sweatshirts, sweaters, skirts, blouses. It's a pretty sweet situation they have going on.
With tons of options out there, it can be hard to decide where to get your next favorite sweater or pair of jeans. I know I'll be checking out Everlane, their Cashmere Crop Mockneck looks like something dreams are made of. (pictured below)
